Only believe the „Thus saith the Lord“

2. Introduction
Brother William Marrion Branham of Jeffersonville, Indiana, USA, is well known all over the world. He was respected and loved by many and of course misunderstood by others. Only eternity will reveal how many millions were blest through the ministry of this humble man of God.
Beloved in Christ, not everything God does many happen in our church, city or nation. We cannot always be present when God does something, but we are certainly grateful for those witnesses, who saw and can testify of supernatural events. I wasn’t there when John stood in the Jordan River, baptizing our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. Yet I believe the report of the supernatural event that took place as the prophet baptized the Lamb of God and a voice heard from heaven.
Maybe you were not present when Brother Branham stood in the Ohio River on June 11th, 1933, baptizing several hundred people. As he was to baptize the 17th person he prayed, “O Lord, as I baptize with water, so may you baptize with the Holy Ghost and with fire.” Just then the supernatural pillar, that bright shining light, came down over Brother Branham, visible to approx. 4,000 people, and the voice was heard, “As John the Baptist was sent to forerun the first coming of Christ, so are you sent with the message, which will forerun the second coming of Christ.”
I am fully aware of the fact many claim to have had certain experiences, and for this reason people are filled with distrust. But thanks be to God, in the midst of artificial and manufacture so-called experiences, we have been brought face to face with the reality of God in this generation. I have personally seen about 15 people, who were present when this mighty visitation of God took place. Well, if we cannot believe what Bro. Branham said and what the witnesses testified, then believe God, who has vindicated this man throughout the world.
Not everyone can be a Moses, Abraham, John or Paul; neither can everyone be Bro. Branham. It takes a man consecrated to God to do what He has ordained to be done at a certain time or age. Certainly, the words of Jesus are eternally true, “Whoever receives a prophet, shall receive a prophet’s reward.” All who believed a God-sent prophet, will stand justified before the throne of God on that day and receive their reward with that prophet.
The hour is far spent. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Mt.25:6, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” The Lord had said something just prior to these words that we should not overlook. Mt. 24:45: “Who, then, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?” A true servant and prophet of God is set over the house of the Lord to give food in due season. It also reminds of the prophecy of Joel, “I will restore, saith the Lord, all the year…” (Joel 2:25) It is obvious that the Lord has kept His Word. The true Bible doctrine, the plain teaching of the Word has been restored.
This reminds us of the prophecy that the prophet Elijah should be sent to restore all things. Why was this great prophet mentioned and not another? Please read 1. Ki. 18 carefully. In verse 21, we find the prophet saying to the people, “How long halt ye between two opinions? If the LORD be God, follow Him.” in the 30th verse he says, “Come near unto me. And all people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.” Elijah had the Word of God for that hour. By the commission of God he called the people together. Then he took the twelve stones according to the tribes of Israel and repaired the altar. Only after this was done could the Lord answer with fire- and the rain could fall.
Many have prayed for spiritual rain in this time many have claimed that the Lord has answered with fire. First of all, God had to send a prophet, who by the revelation of the Holy Spirit, could pick up the true doctrine of the twelve apostles and restore the Word to His Church. The altar in the house of the Lord has been repaired through his teaching- ministry. Now we can lay our lives upon it, believing the Word of God with all our hearts.
I consider it a great privilege to share the precious Word of God with all the dear children of God throughout the world. This publication will be translated into many languages, as have been the sermons of Bro. Branham. The only motive is that the attention of many will be drawn to God’s Word. Please do not fail to recognize the message as well as the messenger. May you consider 2 Pet.1:19 while reading this booklet, “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; unto which ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts.”
