2 Samuel - 1

1. Now it came to pass after the death of Saul, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Amalekites, and David had abode two days in Ziklag;

2. It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.

3. And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel am I escaped.

4. And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, That the people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

4. [4] Monda néki Dávid: Mondd meg kérlek nékem, mint lőn a dolog? Ő pedig felele: Megfutamodék a nép a harczból, és a nép közül nagy sokaság esett el, és meghalának. Sőt Saul is és Jonathán az ő fia meghalának.

4. [4] David lui dit: Que s'est-il passé? dis-moi donc! Et il répondit: Le peuple s'est enfui du champ de bataille, et un grand nombre d'hommes sont tombés et ont péri; Saül même et Jonathan, son fils, sont morts.

5. And David said unto the young man that told him, How knowest thou that Saul and Jonathan his son be dead?

5. [5] Dávid pedig mondá az ifjúnak, ki néki [ezt] elbeszélé: Honnan tudod, hogy meghalt Saul és Jonathán az ő fia?

5. [5] En Dawid vra die jongman wat hom die boodskap gebring het: Hoe weet jy dat Saul en sy seun Jonatan dood is?

5. [5] A Dávid riekol mládencovi, ktorý mu to oznamoval: Ako to vieš, že zomrel Saul i Jonatán, jeho syn?

5. [5] David dit au jeune homme qui lui apportait ces nouvelles: Comment sais-tu que Saül et Jonathan, son fils, sont morts?

6. And the young man that told him said, As I happened by chance upon mount Gilboa, behold, Saul leaned upon his spear; and, lo, the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

6. [6] Felele az ifjú, ki a hírt hozta: Történetből felmenék a Gilboa hegyére, és ímé Saul az ő dárdájára támaszkodott vala, és ímé a szekerek és lovagok utólérék őtet.

6. [6] Et le jeune homme qui lui apportait ces nouvelles répondit: Je me trouvais sur la montagne de Guilboa; et voici, Saül s'appuyait sur sa lance, et voici, les chars et les cavaliers étaient près de l'atteindre.

7. And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here am I.

7. [7] Hátratekintvén pedig [Saul,] megláta engem és szólíta, és mondék: Ímhol [vagyok] én.

7. [7] en hy het agter hom omgekyk en my gesien en my geroep, en ek het gesê: Hier is ek.

7. [7] S'étant retourné, il m'aperçut et m'appela. Je dis: Me voici!

8. And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

8. [8] Monda pedig nékem: Ki [vagy] te? Felelék néki: Amálekita vagyok.

9. He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, because my life is yet whole in me.

9. [9] Akkor monda nékem: Kérlek állj mellém és ölj meg engem, mert dermedtség fogott el engem, pedig a lélek még teljesen bennem van.

9. [9] Et il dit: Approche donc, et donne-moi la mort; car je suis pris de vertige, quoique encore plein de vie.

10. So I stood upon him, and slew him, because I was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I took the crown that was upon his head, and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

10. [10] Annakokáért [én] mellé állván, megölém őtet, mert tudtam, hogy meg nem él, miután elesett, és elhozám a koronát, mely az ő fején [vala,] és az aranypereczet, mely az ő karján [volt,] és azokat [ímé] ide hoztam az én uramnak.

11. Then David took hold on his clothes, and rent them; and likewise all the men that were with him:

12. And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they were fallen by the sword.

12. [12] És nagy zokogással sírának, és bőjtölének mind estvéig, Saulon és Jonathánon, az ő fián, és az Úrnak népén és Izráelnek házán, mivelhogy fegyver által hullottak el.

13. And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.

13. [13] És monda Dávid az ifjúnak, a ki [ezt] elbeszélé néki: Honnét [való] [vagy] te? Felele: Egy jövevény Amálekita férfi fia vagyok.

13. [13] Verder sê Dawid aan die jongman wat hom die boodskap gebring het: Waar kom jy vandaan? En hy antwoord: Ek is die seun van 'n vreemde man, 'n Amalekiet.

13. [13] A Dávid riekol mládencovi, ktorý mu to oznamoval: Odkiaľ si ty? A odpovedal: Som syn muža amalechitského pohostína.

13. [13] David dit au jeune homme qui lui avait apporté ces nouvelles: D'où es-tu? Et il répondit: Je suis le fils d'un étranger, d'un Amalécite.

14. And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed?

14. [14] Ismét monda néki Dávid: Hogy nem féltél felemelni kezedet az Úr felkentjének elvesztésére?

14. [14] En Dawid sê vir hom: Hoe? Jy was nie bevrees om jou hand uit te steek om die gesalfde van die HERE om te bring nie?

14. [14] Na to mu riekol Dávid: Ako je to, že si sa nebál vystrieť svoju ruku, aby si zahubil pomazaného Hospodinovho?

14. [14] David lui dit: Comment n'as-tu pas craint de porter la main sur l'oint de l'Eternel et de lui donner la mort?

15. And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, and fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.

15. [15] És szólíta Dávid egyet az ő szolgái közül, kinek monda: Jőjj elő és öld meg őt. Ki általüté azt, és meghala.

15. [15] Daarop roep Dawid een van die jongmanne en sê: Kom nader, val op hom aan! En die het hom neergeslaan, dat hy gesterf het.

15. [15] A Dávid zavolajúc jedného z mládencov povedal: Pristúp a obor sa na neho! A uderil ho, a zomrel.

15. [15] Et David appela l'un de ses gens, et dit: Approche, et tue-le! Cet homme frappa l'Amalécite, qui mourut.

16. And David said unto him, Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD's anointed.

16. [16] És monda néki Dávid: A te véred [legyen] a te fejeden: mert a tennen nyelved vallása bizonyságot tesz ellened, mondván: Én öltem meg az Úrnak felkentjét.

16. [16] En Dawid het vir hom gesê: Jou bloed is op jou hoof, want jou mond getuig teen jou, omdat jy sê: Ek het die gesalfde van die HERE gedood.

16. [16] A Dávid mu riekol: Tvoja krv nech je na tvoju hlavu, lebo tvoje vlastné ústa svedčily proti tebe, keď si povedal: Ja som zabil pomazaného Hospodinovho.

16. [16] Et David lui dit: Que ton sang retombe sur ta tête, car ta bouche a déposé contre toi, puisque tu as dit: J'ai donné la mort à l'oint de l'Eternel!

17. And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:

17. [17] És keservesen síra Dávid ilyen sírással, Saulon és Jonathánon, az ő fián,

17. [17] Toe het Dawid hierdie klaaglied aangehef oor Saul en oor sy seun Jonatan,

17. [17] Vtedy trúchlil Dávid a spieval túto trúchlivú pieseň nad Saulom a nad Jonatánom, jeho synom,

17. [17] Voici le cantique funèbre que David composa sur Saül et sur Jonathan, son fils,

18. (Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

18. [18] És monda ([íjdal ez,] hogy megtanulják Júda fiai, mely be van írva a Jásár könyvébe):

18. [18] en hy het beveel om die kinders van Juda die Booglied te leer; kyk, dit is geskrywe in die Boek van die Opregte.

18. [18] et qu'il ordonna d'enseigner aux enfants de Juda. C'est le cantique de l'arc: il est écrit dans le livre du Juste.

19. The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

19. [19] Izráel! a te ékességed elesett halmaidon: miként hullottak el a hősök!

19. [19] Die sieraad, o Israel -- op jou hoogtes lê dit verslaan. Hoe het die helde geval!

19. [19] Oj, kráso Izraelova! Na tvojich výšinách - zabitý! Jako padli hrdinovia!

19. [19] L'élite d'Israël a succombé sur tes collines! Comment des héros sont-ils tombés?

20. Tell it not in Gath, publish it not in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.

20. [20] Meg ne mondjátok Gáthban, ne hirdessétek Askelon utczáin, hogy ne örvendjenek a Filiszteusok leányai, és ne ujjongjanak a körülmetéletlenek leányai.

21. Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.

21. [21] Oj, vrchy v Gilboe! Nech nepadá na vás rosa, ani nech neprší na vás dážď, ani nech nie je tam poľa, ktoré by poskytlo obeť pozdvihnutia! Lebo tam bol potupne povrhnutý štít mnohých hrdinov, štít Saulov, bez toho, že by bol býval pomazaný olejom.

21. [21] Montagnes de Guilboa! Qu'il n'y ait sur vous ni rosée ni pluie, Ni champs qui donnent des prémices pour les offrandes! Car là ont été jetés les boucliers des héros, Le bouclier de Saül; L'huile a cessé de les oindre.

22. From the blood of the slain, from the fat of the mighty, the bow of Jonathan turned not back, and the sword of Saul returned not empty.

23. Saul and Jonathan were lovely and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided: they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.

24. Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.

25. How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places.

25. [25] Oh, hogy elhullottak a hősök a harczban! Jonathán halmaidon esett el!

26. I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

27. How are the mighty fallen, and the weapons of war perished!

27. [27] Oh, hogy elhullottak a hősök! És elvesztek a hadi szerszámok!

27. [27] Hoe het die helde geval en die oorlogswapens verlore gegaan!

27. [27] Oj, ako padli hrdinovia, a zahynuly nástroje boja!

27. [27] Comment des héros sont-ils tombés? Comment leurs armes se sont-elles perdues?
