Genesis - 18

1. And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

2. And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

3. And said, My LORD, if now I have found favor in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

4. Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:

9. And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

10. And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.

11. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

13. And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?

14. Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

15. Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

15. [15] A Sára zaprela a riekla: Nesmiala som sa; lebo sa bála. Ale Hospodin riekol: Nie, ale smiala si sa.

15. [15] Sara mentit, en disant: Je n'ai pas ri. Car elle eut peur. Mais il dit: Au contraire, tu as ri.

16. And the men rose up from thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way.

16. [16] Azután felkelvén onnan azok a férfiak, Sodoma felé tartanak vala. Ábrahám is velök méne, hogy elkisérje őket.

16. [16] Toe staan die manne daarvandaan op, en hulle het gekyk na die kant van Sodom; en Abraham het saam met hulle gegaan om hulle weg te bring.

17. And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do;

18. Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

18. [18] Holott Ábrahám nagy és hatalmas néppé lesz; és benne megáldatnak a földnek minden nemzetségei.

18. [18] Abraham deviendra certainement une nation grande et puissante, et en lui seront bénies toutes les nations de la terre.

19. For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

20. And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

21. I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.

22. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

22. [22] Les hommes s'éloignèrent, et allèrent vers Sodome. Mais Abraham se tint encore en présence de l'Eternel.

23. And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

23. [23] És hozzá járula Ábrahám és monda: Avagy elveszted-é az igazat is a gonoszszal egybe?

23. [23] En Abraham het nader gekom en gesê: Sal U ook die regverdige saam met die goddelose ombring?

23. [23] A Abrahám pristúpil a povedal: Či azda zahladíš spravedlivého s bezbožným?

23. [23] Abraham s'approcha, et dit: Feras-tu aussi périr le juste avec le méchant?

24. Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

24. [24] Talán van ötven igaz abban a városban, avagy elveszted-é, és nem kedvezel-é a helynek az ötven igazért, a kik abban vannak?

24. [24] Peut-être y a-t-il cinquante justes au milieu de la ville: les feras-tu périr aussi, et ne pardonneras-tu pas à la ville à cause des cinquante justes qui sont au milieu d'elle?

25. That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

25. [25] Távol legyen tőled, hogy ilyen dolgot cselekedjél, hogy megöld az igazat a gonoszszal, és úgy járjon az igaz mint a gonosz: Távol legyen tőled! Avagy az egész föld bírája nem szolgáltatna-é igazságot?

25. [25] Faire mourir le juste avec le méchant, en sorte qu'il en soit du juste comme du méchant, loin de toi cette manière d'agir! loin de toi! Celui qui juge toute la terre n'exercera-t-il pas la justice?

26. And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

26. [26] És monda az Úr: Ha találok Sodomában a városon belől ötven igazat, mind az egész helynek megkegyelmezek azokért.

26. [26] Toe sê die HERE: As Ek in Sodom vyftig regverdiges vind binne-in die stad, dan sal Ek die hele plek spaar om hulle ontwil.

26. [26] A Hospodin riekol: Ak najdem v Sodome päťdesiat spravedlivých, v tom meste, odpustím pre nich celému tomu miestu.

26. [26] Et l'Eternel dit: Si je trouve dans Sodome cinquante justes au milieu de la ville, je pardonnerai à toute la ville, à cause d'eux.

27. And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD, which am but dust and ashes:

27. [27] És felele Ábrahám, és monda: Immár merészkedtem szólani az én Uramnak, noha én por és hamu vagyok.

27. [27] Abraham reprit, et dit: Voici, j'ai osé parler au Seigneur, moi qui ne suis que poudre et cendre.

28. Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

28. [28] Ha az ötven igaznak talán öt híja lesz, elveszted-é az öt miatt az egész várost? És monda: Nem vesztem el, ha találok ott negyvenötöt.

28. [28] Miskien sal daar aan die vyftig regverdiges vyf ontbreek; sal U ter wille van vyf die hele stad verwoes? En Hy antwoord: Ek sal dit nie verwoes as Ek daar vyf en veertig vind nie.

28. [28] Peut-être des cinquante justes en manquera-t-il cinq: pour cinq, détruiras-tu toute la ville? Et l'Eternel dit: Je ne la détruirai point, si j'y trouve quarante-cinq justes.

29. And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

29. [29] És ismét szóla hozzá és monda: Hátha találtatnak ott negyvenen? És monda Ő: Nem teszem meg a negyvenért.

29. [29] En hy het nog verder met Hom gespreek en gesê: Miskien sal daar veertig gevind word. En Hy antwoord: Ek sal dit ter wille van die veertig nie doen nie.

29. [29] A ešte mu hovoril Abrahám a riekol: Snáď sa tam najdú štyridsiati. - A riekol: Neučiním pre tých štyridsiatich.

29. [29] Abraham continua de lui parler, et dit: Peut-être s'y trouvera-t-il quarante justes. Et l'Eternel dit: Je ne ferai rien, à cause de ces quarante.

30. And he said unto him, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

30. [30] Mégis monda: Kérlek, ne haragudjék meg az én Uram ha szólok: Hátha találtatnak ott harminczan? És Ő felele: Nem teszem meg, ha találok ott harminczat.

30. [30] Verder sê hy: Laat die Here tog nie toornig wees nie, en mag ek nog iets sê. Miskien sal daar dertig gevind word. En Hy antwoord: Ek sal dit nie doen as Ek daar dertig vind nie.

30. [30] A zase povedal Abrahám: Prosím, nech sa nehnevá môj Pán, že budem ešte hovoriť: Snáď sa tam najdú tridsiati. - A riekol: Neučiním, jestli tam najdem tridsiatich.

30. [30] Abraham dit: Que le Seigneur ne s'irrite point, et je parlerai. Peut-être s'y trouvera-t-il trente justes. Et l'Eternel dit: Je ne ferai rien, si j'y trouve trente justes.

31. And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the LORD: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

31. [31] És ő monda: Immár merészkedtem szólani az én Uramnak: Hátha találtatnak ott húszan? Felele: Nem vesztem el a húszért.

31. [31] Toe sê hy: Kyk tog, ek het dit gewaag om met die Here te spreek. Miskien sal daar twintig gevind word. En Hy antwoord: Ek sal dit ter wille van die twintig nie verwoes nie.

31. [31] A zase povedal: Hľa, prosím, podujal som sa hovoriť svojmu Pánovi. Snáď sa tam najdú dvadsiati. - A riekol: Nezkazím pre tých dvadsiatich.

31. [31] Abraham dit: Voici, j'ai osé parler au Seigneur. Peut-être s'y trouvera-t-il vingt justes. Et l'Eternel dit: Je ne la détruirai point, à cause de ces vingt.

32. And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

32. [32] És monda: Ne haragudjék kérlek az én Uram ha szólok még ez egyszer: Hátha találtatnak ott tízen? És Ő monda: Nem vesztem el a tízért.

32. [32] Toe sê hy: Laat die Here tog nie toornig wees nie en laat my net hierdie keer mag spreek. Miskien sal daar tien gevind word. En Hy antwoord: Ek sal dit ter wille van die tien nie verwoes nie.

32. [32] A ešte povedal: Prosím, nech sa neráči nahnevať môj Pán, a nech mi je dovolené už len tento raz hovoriť: snáď sa tam najdú desiati. - A riekol: Nezkazím pre tých desiatich.

32. [32] Abraham dit: Que le Seigneur ne s'irrite point, et je ne parlerai plus que cette fois. Peut-être s'y trouvera-t-il dix justes. Et l'Eternel dit: Je ne la détruirai point, à cause de ces dix justes.

33. And the LORD went his way, as soon as he had left communing with Abraham: and Abraham returned unto his place.
