John - 11

1. Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

3. Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

4. When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

4. [4] Jézus pedig, a mikor ezt hallotta, monda: Ez a betegség nem halálos, hanem az Isten dicsőségére való, hogy dicsőíttessék általa az Istennek Fia.

4. [4] Après avoir entendu cela, Jésus dit: Cette maladie n'est point à la mort; mais elle est pour la gloire de Dieu, afin que le Fils de Dieu soit glorifié par elle.

5. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

6. When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

7. Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

8. His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

8. [8] Mondának néki a tanítványok: Mester, most akarnak vala téged megkövezni a Júdabeliek, és újra oda mégy?

8. [8] Les disciples lui dirent: Rabbi, les Juifs tout récemment cherchaient à te lapider, et tu retournes en Judée!

9. Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

9. [9] Jesus antwoord: Is daar nie twaalf ure in die dag nie? As iemand in die dag wandel, stamp hy hom nie, omdat hy die lig van hierdie wêreld sien.

9. [9] Ježiš odpovedal: Či nie je dvanásť hodín dňa? Ak niekto chodí vodne, nezavadí, lebo vidí svetlo tohoto sveta;

9. [9] Jésus répondit: N'y a-t-il pas douze heures au jour? Si quelqu'un marche pendant le jour, il ne bronche point, parce qu'il voit la lumière de ce monde;

10. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

10. [10] De a ki éjjel jár, megbotlik, mert nincsen abban világosság.

10. [10] Maar as iemand in die nag wandel, stamp hy hom, omdat die lig nie in hom is nie.

11. These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

11. [11] Ezeket mondá; és ezután monda nékik: Lázár, a mi barátunk, elaludt; de elmegyek, hogy felköltsem őt.

12. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

13. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

13. [13] Pedig Jézus annak haláláról beszélt; de ők azt hitték, hogy álomnak alvásáról szól.

13. [13] Maar Jesus het gespreek van sy dood, terwyl hulle gedink het dat Hy van die rus van die slaap spreek.

14. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

14. [14] Ekkor azért nyilván monda nékik Jézus: Lázár megholt.

14. [14] En toe sê Jesus vir hulle ronduit: Lasarus is dood.

14. [14] A tak vtedy im povedal Ježiš otvorene: Lazar zomrel,

14. [14] Alors Jésus leur dit ouvertement: Lazare est mort.

15. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

15. [15] És örülök, hogy nem voltam ott, ti érettetek, hogy higyjetek. De menjünk el ő hozzá!

16. Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

17. Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

17. [17] A tak keď prišiel Ježiš, našiel ho už štyri dni ležať v hrobe.

17. [17] Jésus, étant arrivé, trouva que Lazare était déjà depuis quatre jours dans le sépulcre.

18. Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off:

18. [18] Bethánia pedig közel vala Jeruzsálemhez, mintegy tizenöt futamatnyira;

18. [18] En Bet nië was naby Jerusalem, omtrent twee myl daarvandaan.

18. [18] A Betánia bola blízko Jeruzalema, nejakých pätnásť honov.

18. [18] Et, comme Béthanie était près de Jérusalem, à quinze stades environ,

19. And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.

19. [19] És a zsidók közül sokan mentek vala Márthához és Máriához, hogy vigasztalják őket az ő testvérök felől.

19. [19] En baie van die Jode het al by Martha en Maria gekom om hulle oor hul broer te troos.

20. Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

20. [20] Mártha azért, a mint hallja vala, hogy Jézus jő, elébe méne; Mária pedig otthon ül vala.

20. [20] En toe Martha hoor dat Jesus kom, het sy Hom tegemoetgegaan. Maar Maria het in die huis bly sit.

20. [20] Vtedy Marta, ako počula, že ide Ježiš, vyšla proti nemu, ale Mária sedela doma.

20. [20] Lorsque Marthe apprit que Jésus arrivait, elle alla au-devant de lui, tandis que Marie se tenait assise à la maison.

21. Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

21. [21] Monda azért Mártha Jézusnak: Uram, ha itt lettél volna, nem halt volna meg a testvérem.

21. [21] En Martha sê vir Jesus: Here, as U hier gewees het, sou my broer nie gesterf het nie.

21. [21] Vtedy povedala Marta Ježišovi: Pane, keby si tu bol býval, môj brat by nebol zomrel.

21. [21] Marthe dit à Jésus: Seigneur, si tu eusses été ici, mon frère ne serait pas mort.

22. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

22. [22] De most is tudom, hogy a mit csak kérsz az Istentől, megadja néked az Isten.

22. [22] Maar selfs nou weet ek dat alles wat U van God vra, God U sal gee.

22. [22] Ale aj teraz viem, že všetko, za čokoľvek by si požiadal Boha, dá ti Bôh.

22. [22] Mais, maintenant même, je sais que tout ce que tu demanderas à Dieu, Dieu te l'accordera.

23. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

23. [23] Monda néki Jézus: Feltámad a te testvéred.

23. [23] Jesus sê vir haar: Jou broer sal opstaan.

23. [23] Jésus lui dit: Ton frère ressuscitera.

24. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

24. [24] Monda néki Mártha: Tudom, hogy feltámad a feltámadáskor az utolsó napon.

24. [24] Martha antwoord Hom: Ek weet dat hy sal opstaan in die opstanding in die laaste dag.

25. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27. She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

27. [27] Riekla mu: Áno, pane; ja som uverila, že si ty Kristus, ten Syn Boží, ktorý mal prijsť na svet.

27. [27] Elle lui dit: Oui, Seigneur, je crois que tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu, qui devait venir dans le monde.

28. And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

28. [28] És a mint ezeket mondotta vala, elméne, és titkon szólítá az ő testvérét Máriát, mondván: A Mester itt van és hív téged.

28. [28] En nadat sy dit gesê het, gaan sy en roep Maria, haar suster, stilletjies en sê: Die Meester is hier en Hy roep jou.

28. [28] A keď to povedala, odišla a zavolala Máriu, svoju sestru, tajne, povediac: Učiteľ je tu a volá ťa.

28. [28] Ayant ainsi parlé, elle s'en alla. Puis elle appela secrètement Marie, sa soeur, et lui dit: Le maître est ici, et il te demande.

29. As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

29. [29] Mihelyt ez hallá, felkele hamar és hozzá méne.

29. [29] Sy het, toe sy dit hoor, vinnig opgestaan en na Hom toe gegaan.

29. [29] A tá, jako to počula, vstala rýchle a išla za ním.

29. [29] Dès que Marie eut entendu, elle se leva promptement, et alla vers lui.

30. Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.

30. [30] Jézus pedig nem ment vala még be a faluba, hanem azon a helyen vala, a hová Mártha elébe ment vala.

30. [30] En Jesus het nog nie in die dorp gekom nie, maar was op die plek waar Martha Hom tegemoetgegaan het.

30. [30] A Ježiš nebol ešte prišiel do mestečka, ale bol ešte na mieste, kde bola vyšla proti nemu Marta.

30. [30] Car Jésus n'était pas encore entré dans le village, mais il était dans le lieu où Marthe l'avait rencontré.

31. The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, She goeth unto the grave to weep there.

31. [31] A zsidók azért, a kik ő vele otthon valának és vigasztalák őt, látván, hogy Mária hamar felkél és kimegy vala, utána menének, ezt mondván: A sírhoz megy, hogy ott sírjon.

31. [31] Vtedy Židia, ktorí boli s ňou v dome a tešili ju, vidiac Máriu, že vstala rýchle a vyšla, išli za ňou domnievajúc sa, že ide k hrobu, aby tam plakala.

31. [31] Les Juifs qui étaient avec Marie dans la maison et qui la consolaient, l'ayant vue se lever promptement et sortir, la suivirent, disant: Elle va au sépulcre, pour y pleurer.

32. Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

32. [32] Mária azért, a mint oda ére, a hol Jézus vala, meglátván őt, az ő lábaihoz esék, mondván néki: Uram, ha itt voltál volna, nem halt volna meg az én testvérem.

32. [32] Vtedy Mária, ako prišla ta, kde bol Ježiš, a videla ho, padla k jeho nohám a povedala mu: Pane, keby si tu bol býval, môj brat by nebol zomrel.

32. [32] Lorsque Marie fut arrivée là où était Jésus, et qu'elle le vit, elle tomba à ses pieds, et lui dit: Seigneur, si tu eusses été ici, mon frère ne serait pas mort.

33. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.

33. [33] Jézus azért, a mint látja vala, hogy az sír és sírnak a vele jött zsidók [is,] elbúsula lelkében és igen megrendüle.

33. [33] Toe Jesus haar dan sien ween en die Jode wat saam met haar gekom het, ook sien ween, het Hy geweldig bewoë geword in sy gees en Hom ontstel

33. [33] Vtedy Ježiš, keď ju videl, že plače, aj Židov, ktorí prišli s ňou, že plačú, zovrel duchom a zachvel sa

33. [33] Jésus, la voyant pleurer, elle et les Juifs qui étaient venus avec elle, frémit en son esprit, et fut tout ému.

34. And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

34. [34] És monda: Hová helyeztétek őt? Mondának néki: Uram, jer és lásd meg!

34. [34] en gesê: Waar het julle hom neergelê? Hulle sê vir Hom: Here, kom kyk.

34. [34] a povedal: Kde ste ho položili? A oni mu povedali: Pane, poď a pozri!

34. [34] Et il dit: Où l'avez-vous mis? Seigneur, lui répondirent-ils, viens et vois.

35. Jesus wept.

35. [35] Könnyekre fakadt Jézus.

35. [35] A Ježiš zaplakal.

35. [35] Jésus pleura.

36. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

36. [36] Mondának azért a zsidók: Ímé, mennyire szerette őt!

36. [36] Vtedy vraveli Židia: Hľa, jako ho mal rád!

36. [36] Sur quoi les Juifs dirent: Voyez comme il l'aimait.

37. And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

37. [37] Némelyek pedig mondának közülök: Nem megtehette volna-é ez, a ki a vaknak szemét felnyitotta, hogy ez ne haljon meg?

37. [37] En sommige van hulle sê: Kon Hy wat die oë van die blinde man geopen het, nie maak dat hierdie man ook nie gesterf het nie?

37. [37] Et quelques-uns d'entre eux dirent: Lui qui a ouvert les yeux de l'aveugle, ne pouvait-il pas faire aussi que cet homme ne mourût point?

38. Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

38. [38] Jézus pedig újra felindulva magában, oda megy vala a sírhoz. Az pedig egy üreg vala, és kő feküvék rajta.

38. [38] En Jesus het weer in Homself geweldig bewoë geword en by die graf gekom. En dit was 'n spelonk, en 'n steen het daarteen gelê.

39. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

39. [39] Jésus dit: Otez la pierre. Marthe, la soeur du mort, lui dit: Seigneur, il sent déjà, car il y a quatre jours qu'il est là.

40. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

40. [40] Monda néki Jézus: Nem mondtam-é néked, hogy ha hiszel, meglátod majd az Istennek dicsőségét?

40. [40] Jesus sê vir haar: Het Ek nie vir jou gesê, as jy glo, sal jy die heerlikheid van God sien nie?

40. [40] Na to jej riekol Ježiš: Či som ti nepovedal, že ak budeš veriť, uvidíš slávu Božiu?

40. [40] Jésus lui dit: Ne t'ai-je pas dit que, si tu crois, tu verras la gloire de Dieu?

41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

41. [41] Elvevék azért a követ onnan, a hol a megholt feküszik vala. Jézus pedig felemelé szemeit az égre, és monda: Atyám, hálát adok néked, hogy meghallgattál engem.

41. [41] Hulle neem toe die steen weg waar die oorledene lê. En Jesus het sy oë opgeslaan en gesê: Vader, Ek dank U dat U My verhoor het;

41. [41] Vtedy zodvihli kameň, kde ležal mŕtvy. A Ježiš pozdvihol oči hore a povedal: Otče, ďakujem ti, že si ma počul.

41. [41] Ils ôtèrent donc la pierre. Et Jésus leva les yeux en haut, et dit: Père, je te rends grâces de ce que tu m'as exaucé.

42. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

42. [42] Tudtam is én, hogy te mindenkor meghallgatsz engem; csak a körülálló sokaságért mondtam, hogy elhigyjék, hogy te küldtél engem.

44. [44] A zomrelý vyšiel majúc poviazané nohy aj ruky pohrabnými povojmi, a jeho tvár bola ovinutá znojníkom. A Ježiš im povedal: Rozviažte ho a nechajte ho odísť!

44. [44] Et le mort sortit, les pieds et les mains liés de bandes, et le visage enveloppé d'un linge. Jésus leur dit: Déliez-le, et laissez-le aller.

45. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46. But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.

47. Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

48. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.

49. And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,

50. Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

51. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;

52. And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

55. And the Jews' passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify themselves.

57. Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.
